Better control over automatic shifts
I recently posted a question about aftermarket Eshifts (Steptronic, shiftronic, whatever you want to call it), but as I didn't get any replies I guess there's nothing like that (for our cars)?
Being used to stickshifts, my SC4 auto tranny really starts to annoy me. My biggest dislike is that when braking for corners, the tranny upshifts. Flooring it after the corner, the tranny has to downshift again, instead of staying in the 'right' gear in the first place.
I know I can control the shifting by putting the gear lever to '2' or '3' to some extent. But having to press the button and then move the lever isn't a really quick way to shift.
Are there any better options?

I just punch it before the corner.
I just downshift to 2nd before cornering. Better yet, I just leave the tranny on 2 all the time unless I have to get on the freeway.

That's not exactly what I'd call 'controlling' the shifting. But as it looks I just have to learn to live with what I got.
Man, I'd loooooooove my SC even more with a manual or eshift

I have found that keeping a LITTLE throttle opening with the right foot and braking w/ my left foot keeps it in the current gear during braking events. Not a solution, but helps during SHORT periods of 2nd is to low and 3rd is to high sweepers when *******, or being dogged, by another vehicle.
