Default 1jz progress, pics and radiator questions

mount but unfinished piping

Intercooler all set and the engine sounds great! Swap is almost done, we've been chipping away at it for quite a while now.

My question is about the radiator. The car was a 400. I bought a 1jz fan shroud which obviously does not bolt up to the stock radiator.

What are 1jz swappers using for a radiator? At this point I am not sure if I should buy an sc300 radiator and fan shroud or get a 1jz radiator. If I go 1jz rad, then I will get OEM since I already have the shroud.

Any recommendations? Also, if someone has a rad for sale which works in the swap, I am looking to buy one TODAY!

The end is near!

either get one from a SC300 OR buy a high performance Koyo and make a shroud along with fans and call it done.

thanks for the responses, I have heard conflicting reports about the sc400 radiator. I guess my problem is the mix and matching parts not mixing or matching.

Man, I have hit just about every snag imaginable during this swap. At times, I have been desperate for help. I am all about getting as much of this process documented so others can swap as smoothly as possible.

Where in WI are you? I am in Madison and my car is at a friends shop off I-43 outside of Mukwonago.
