Had a simular issue but mine would shut off and would sometimes restart immediatly, then after sitting for a day and a half it just wouldn't start. Being busy with work I just took it it a buddy at a Toyota dealer. The replaced the EFI replay, Fuel Pump ecu and still didn't fix the problem, the continued to diag the problem but the issue was the voltage going to the ECU would just suddenly shut off. After calling tech assistance at Toyota they advised to rewire the circuit going to the ECU, they did that and so far the problem is fixed. The voltage stays current and no drops are present, so either a break or faulty wire was present in the original harness.

My car still has a few weird issues with the stock GE. I'm hoping my 1JZ swap will at least fix the issue of my fuel pump staying on after the key is off, because having a switch to power my ecu's main relay is quite annoying when I have a turbo timer i want to use.
