Default 1jz swap

Hey guys, I was wondering you can give me some advice. I am in the process of doing my 1jz swap into my sc300. The engine is in, motor mounts, tranny mounts and cross member all line up and are hooked up.

The problem I'm having is that the shift linkage rod seems to be an inch long and won't line up correctly with the gears. For example, when the shifter is in park, and the linkage rod is hooked up the trans position would be in neutral.

Has this happened to anyone? because its and auto 92 sc300 and I'm putting in the soarer auto trans that it came with. Also is there anyway that the shift linkage/gear box position can be adjusted? or will I just have to cut the rod down an inch?

I appreciate any advice, thank you.

Can you use the linkage from your SC transmission? They should be the same, but maybe for some reason they're different.
