hey guys i am about to replace my automatic tranny on my 92 sc400 with a used unit and i'm wondering if the sc300 a340e is the same as the sc400 a340e.

i'm guessing they are the same except for the bellhousing, which i'm assuming will swap over to the new tranny.

anyone have any input on this? there seems to be way more "sc300 transmission"s than sc400 transmissions for sale. just wanted to double check.

they are in fact different. The 400 uses four solenoids while the 300 only uses three.

So what you're trying to say is that they WILL bolt up but the guts are different?

I don't think they will bolt up, the bell housing are different, the 400 tranny is the same as the TT tranny.

No they will not bolt up. They are different. As far as what Trevstuh said, I've heard that but I cannot confirm
