Default Manual Transmission fluid

I'm doin some maintenance on my 5 speed sc300 and I'm planning on using Redline MTL manual transmission fluid. Has anyone used this or have other recommendations on what would be best? Thanks, Galen

i have used castrol fluid and its like stock. i have pennzoil gm syncromech fluid in it now and it feels smoother. especially during the cold winter.

from what i hear from friends that track evos, nothing beats amsoil products.

Not sure what the difference is between redline mtl & mt-90, but mt-90 is the most recommended for the R154 trans. I'm sure either would work well in the w58.

mt-90 is $12/Qt

Tried Royal Purple synchromesh a while back and although shifts were smooth at first, my shifting feel deteriorated after a few days. Drained the fluid and found some metal bits and shavings in the fluid. Changed to Royal Purp 75W140 and love it. Only gripe is that it's a little clunky during startup but once it gets going it's smooth sailing.

I've used redline in all my manual cars and have always liked the results. Tranny just felt better smoother and didnt have that heated up feeling as quickly.

I use Redline mt-90. Feels so much smoother than stock.
