Default High Pitched Whine from 0-40mph

Anyone ever experience a on and off high pitched whine coming from the drivers side wheel??

I kinda ruled out wheel bearing just because the sound is not consistent.

my brakes are not grinding...

i checked the dust shield too but it doesnt seem to be rubbing on anything...

the squealing is coming from stop to around 40 where it gets highest then seems to dissipate..flat roads.

only the drivers side and has only started to occur within the last week (car was down for about a month with new suspension, and yes i have double checked all of that as well)

any one ever experience anything similar??

Don't some brake pads have a device that makes them squeak when its time to replace them? I remember this happening on my old Chrysler Sebring. Just needed new pads.

jack the suspect wheel up and spin it! should be easier to find the culprit of the noise.

Yes it's called a wear indicator. A squeak and a whine are two different noises though. It might be a wheel bearing but whining is usually associated with the power steering.

What is the fix / resolution if it is the power steering? Just curious. My car does this high pitched purring sound at low speeds during acceleration; sounds like this could be what you're describing. I don't mind it that much -- just want to know if it is an issue that needs to be tended to, or harmless natural progression over time.
