The version I bought before I got it upgraded did not connect to a laptop. But, yes, this new version does.

Uses hyperterminal and is pretty easy to setup and program. Hyperterminal is very likely already on whatever computer you would use BTW.

Hoping to do a few 1/4 runs this coming Thursday night. I think that WOT shifting can really only be tuned at a track due to traction issues on the street.

I'm excited to make some runs with it. I would expect to gain a bit of time by eliminating the 1-2 rev bounce problem I was having. Also, with the convertor locked up in 1st, 2nd and 3rd some time should be shed and a few mph in trap should be gained.

So I didn't do great at the track, haven't been lately due to some tuning (fuel) issues. But, the magic number for the 1-2 shift appears to be 33 mph. If I set it to 34 it hits the limiter. For the 2-3 shift, 77 mph seems to work best.

I have been working on my fuel tuning for the past couple of days and have made some progress. Plan on running the 1/4 tommorow night, hopefully with some better results.

So, what's the long term conclusion? Good, bad? Anyone else running this?

I'm thinking about getting this but would like to wire it so that I can switch between stock ECU (automatic) and manual (suprastick). Don't really care for the suprastick-controlled auto mode. Not quite sure if that's possible. Already contactet Latent Solutions but so far no response.

I'm still using it without issues.

They are a little hard to get a hold of, I get the feeling Latent Solutions is a home based business.

The version 4 has a pass through "learn" mode in which the stock ECU does control the shifts. It doesn't work on mine but I had bought a version 3 which I sent to Latent to get upgraded. Besides that though, the shift tables are pretty easy to tune.

Time for a two year old thread bump.

Thanks for the great write up KC. I plan on going this route. I've already bought my suprastick, but I haven't done my 1.5jz swap yet. Once I do, I was hoping to be able to ask you a couple questions about things I'm sure you've already encountered.
I know you haven't logged on since september, but hopefully you'll get some type of email and you'll check in on this thread again. I hope you're still using the ss and I hope it's still working great. Thanks again for the great writeup., Jay
