Default ever had this problem

i'll get straight to the problem.washed out engine compartment and check engine light came on.can anyone tell me why.just to let you know i've been cleaning my engine compatrments for years so i'm not new at this and this is not the first time i've done this to my sc300 but this is the first time my check engine light came on after washing.(used water hose light pressure)all my o2 sensors are new so i know that is not the problem.i did clean the trottle body once and it came on it went of after a short drive because i think some of the crap that got trapped finally burned of or made it's way out.i'm thinking that the light will go out on its own (i hope)but i'll be away until friday so hopefully everything will be nice and dry when i return also i'm thinking of unhooking battery to see if that will work just to let you guys know i always clean my engine with it running.so if anyone have a clue as why that happened or had this happened to you chime in or just give me your 2 cents thanks and later fellas.
