you need a mk4 2jzgte throttle cable. someone wrote previously that the 87-91, pretty sure, Camry throttle cable works as well. you can go to the yard and take one off a camry, paying only a few bucks, or buy one from the dealer.

I have the mk4 gte throttle cable.

I just couldn't tell where the set bolt was supposed to sit? I was thinking it sits on the lower bracket, then the actual cable kinda goes up at an angle to the butterfly? Is that right?

You route it the same way as on a 2JZ except you have to put it on one bolt back using just one bolt instead of 2.

Thanks Adam,

what about that grey ground wire? I think it connected to the actual 2jzge block before, but I don't see anywhere on the 1jz block to connect it, that's why I used that spot on the intake??

Thanks,
Ryan

why 94-96? that 3rd gen of camry had the same 4cyl motor all the way from 92. 91 was the last year of the previous 2nd gen camry.

oh, that just what I heard. I know mine is from a 95 and it works perfect, its just a few inches long. There are probably other years that work too.

Got the throttle cable figured out. I used the rubber grommet off the 2jzge throttle bracket, and it slides right in the 'U' on the 1jz bracket.

The A/C condenser showed up today, but the line connections are different, because it's from a Soarer(they are different diameter than us spec, just like the a/c compressor connections),...so there's some wasted time/money.

radiator hoses actually shipped on Thursday.

I'm a little agg'd right now.

and I did a chargeback, because I believe the HKS BOV that I bought was a knockoff in a real HKS box...

All that aside, I think I may start it tomorrow to make sure it actually runs.

Got a few more things done. Bad light going on in some of these pics..

The intercooler worked out pretty good.

Here what I did for the brackets.

Intercooler piping is fun and a total B at the same time.

You should reconsider that bracket that you made to hold hte intercooler. Try getting just a one piece metal bracket and bending it....theres less things that can get loose and will cause you less problems down the road. Other than that, looks good!

Well the piping itself looks fine how it is. I ran mine like that for like six months and it was just fine. I only changed mine because it looks less cluttered now.
