Default Turbo Opinions NEEDED.

Ok guys, so im getting ready to purchase a single turbo kit for my 1jzgte.
Thinking of getting the Driftmotion DM67. They claim is capable of 650+hp and its only 1565.00! Did lots of research and went to lots of forums and they have a few people with it and i was wondering if anyone in CL has any input on this kit. Yay or Nay?

What are your power goals? That Driftmotion kit is a good deal and the 67 is a great turbo but unless you do a complete fuel system you won't really get the true benefits of it. I say go with a 61mm or the new PT62mm billet turbo. You can run 550 injectors on a single pump and depending on tuning get close to 500 at the wheels.

For complete fuel system you would need bigger injectors, lines, two fuel pumps etc. What are your plans for ems/tuning? That should be one of the first questions.

wow ok maybe we shouldn't be aiming for those numbers yet.... just an idea? i say get an lsd and run the thing till the turbos pop, then aim for more power maybe get use to what you have first? not hating or nothin, but shooting for numbers like that without the proper knowledge is redicilous. and you might as well multiply $1500.00x3 for a proper running 650 hp 1jz that you can beat on. what are you going to do as far as trans? not w58.

well right now i have a w58. I agree with you, maybe its not a good idea to have those numbers just yet. But i still want to buy the turbo. Im thinkin of just goin BPU++ for a while and get use to some power, before i actually install w/e single turbo i buy. As far as LSD goes, any suggestions? I dont do the sideways thing, even tho its awesome. I'm just planning on going straight.
