Default 2JZGTE water pump in an SC300

Iv ordered a water pump, but the part number is 16100-49846

This is apparently for the 2JZGTE. Will it work for the 2JZGE too (SC300 motor) or will I run into problems? Non turbo one is 160049837

But the 2JZgte pump has an extra hose for the turbo, and on the other side, one of the hoses looks like it might hit the alternator.

Are you putting in a 2JZGTE water pump though. Im not sure if its a direct fit, and what to do with the turbo hose. When I gave Toyota a call, they said taht the GTE water pump wouldnt fit the -GE

You should be able to use the GTE front half of the water pump in the GE engine. The rear housings are different.

the front housing will work just fine... the rear housing has an outlet for the turbo coolent which in any case can just be caped off.

In case someone also comes looking, it will fit the 1JZ-GTE also. The front is whats really important anyways, that is where the impeller is housed. When I changed mine I noticed the old one had a plastic impeller and the new 2JZ-GTE had a metal one. Much better.

Allright, so it would be quite easy to use the old housing on the turbo water pump? If I jsut use the turbo pump, and put a cap on the turbo outlet, wont the water pressure force it out?
