my 92 400 had been acting weird lately. if my motor revs past 3k rpms wether im driving or in park the battery light comes on and the radio turns off. and the light will not go off or radio turn back on till back below 3k rpms. i dont lose power to the car. cluster/ tach still works etc etc. what could this be? alternator?

your alternator is probably done.

pop the hood and check if the power steering pump is leaking. the pump is right above the alternator so when that leaks it drowns the alternator and causes it to go out.

its the most probably case but not the only one.

my ps was leaking bad like a month ago and i fixed it. so ya i guess that is it. because once i get to those rpm's the alternator starts whining

the problem is getting worse now. now the abs light will come on with the battery light and this is occuring at even lower rpm's. i started the car and took the negative cable off the batt and it still ran fine so it seems likes its not the alternator. not sure now

change the alternator already, and try to fix the leak. GL

leak has been fixed. it looks like my tensioner is messed up and my drive belt is real loose. if i floor the car i get a real bad squeel. i think that might be ****ing with the alt. because i checked it and its good
