wow, looking great Dave!!

I was never aware of cutting a bigger whole for the R154 tranny. i thought they were the same type of tranny unless it's a Getrag.

does it sit further back than the oem 5-speed?

So I was starting to shop around for my JZX100 engine and I noticed that the prices are around if not higher than picking up a 2JZGTE VVTi. What's teh deal?

Martin @ Parts shop Max had to make this ebay manifold work since nobody makes a vvti single turbo manifold for under a grand... Not easy.

waiting on some parts from turboaddictionparts.com to arrive to finish the piping stuff.

more to come.

Very cool!

Didn't know you were working on a swap too! That's great he was able to make the manifold work.

yeah, the manifold sucked!

I actually found one in Japan for around $600 shipped but decided this would be better and faster.

he had to change 3 runners and I sent the stock manifold gaskets to a friends machine shop to have custom flanges made.

Default swap

I am doing the same swap right now, got it running the other day, lots of odds and ends to finish up. Started right up first try. One suggestion to everyone doing the swap do not lose any parts, they are pricey. Still waiting on a tps for the vvti to come in. Hopefully finish it up in the next two weeks.

Mine is a 99sc with a chaser vvti motor, stock auto trans, front mount.
