Default SC300 seafoam DIY page?

So I just bought a 92 SC300 and people here in the forum suggested that I try seafoam to clear out some dirty stuff to improve my car gas mileage.

I searched and searched but only found the ES300 DIY seafoam.

Is there a specific SC300 DIY Seafoam page? thanks guys

best way is to

1) put 1/3 in the gas tank (that's almost empty)

2) 1/3 in the oil and

3) last 1/3 in the brake booster vacuum line (while the car is running). Its a big hose that comes out of the intake manifold and connects to the brake booster with a simple pinch clip. After the hose sucks in the seafoam plug the hose with your thumb and hook it back up to the brake booster. The engine revs. will bounce up and down when sucking in the fluid, that's normal just make sure you put the hose back on the brake booster and it will smooth out.

It'll smoke for about 10-15 minutes. After that's all burned out or close to clearing up, take it for a 10 minute drive so it can run through the oil and fuel. when done driving, jack it up and do an oil change. Replace with fresh oil and a filter and you're all done. Simple to do.

Yeah what he said.

caution: when adding the seafoam into the brake booster line, make sure your car DOES NOT die. If it does, it's very possibly and likely to hydrolock your motor, so make sure you keep the RPMs up. Best way is to have another person add while the other person holds the throttle open a bit.

After a simple 5 second search using "seafoam" as a keyword.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...hlight=seafoam

13 page thread.

I used the PCV valve hose to put the seafoam in. PCV system spreads the foam to all six cylinders. My car smoked like granpa after a few minutes.

and be sure not to do it inside your garage, i did it just outside my old auto techs bay door and the wind blew all the smoke inside boxing the whole garage. fire alarm went off and fire trucks came 10 minutes later. BEST UNINTENTIONAL SENIOR PRANK EVER!

So, I put this crap (Seafoam) in my car and now it's running like a dog!!! I followed all of the steps and even had a friend help me. I'm getting horrible gas mileage now and my SC3 seems VERY sluggish. I should have just left it alone

your O2 sensor probably went. Seafoam can definitely help an O2 sensor die if it's on its way out.
