Question Has this ever happened to you?

So Ive been having problems with my battery charging ever since I bought my SC a while ago. So I put a new bat and changed the altinator. The last month or so my bat light was comming on every now and then. So today I went out to start my car and nothing. I jumped it and it started right up. So off to the shop I went to put the car on the lift to see what the problem was. I went to take the altinator off to swap out another one (Again...) and found the ground wasnt connected at all... So I went to see if the bolt was missing. It was there but the head was completely rusted through. So much that when i tried to hand loosen it the head came completely off in my hand. I found a nut that fit and reattached the ground, tested it, and everything is all good now. (I hope) But has anyone else ever had this problem. While I was down there I looked for any sign of power stearing fluid on it, and there was none. I checked the fittings of the lines and there are no leaks.

It's an old car, maybe just rust over the years. You live in Hawaii...is there salt problems since you're surrounded by ocean? At least it was somethin small! haha

The odd part was, when I swapped it out the bolt was just fine. No rust at all.

Loose electrical connections can cause corrosion.
