warm air blowing through outside air vents whats going on
Hi
weve got an SC400 97
when the a/c is off, and outside air is allowed to come in, its warm. The temp is at its lowest, yet it looks like the outside air is being warmed up
Does anyone have any ideas on what to check for??

You can't be this late to the party, you've been here forever. By now you'd have seen several threads come up in search about blocking off the heater core control valve manually.

Yes and no....
I have had our SC for a number of years, but during the last year, Ive not been on this website. A family member has a very serious medical issue.
Unfortunately, other fun things in our life , like time to read the threads has not been a priority.
Not lookin for sympathy, just explaining why I havent seen some of what you guys have seen in the last year.
In this case, I really couldnt think of what search phrase I would use for my problem.
If you could give me what phrase to search for, I will gladly do a search
Thanks

Hacked CL to become a Mod
Sorry to hear that, I hope everything goes well...the problem itself is normal. I'm told the SC430 also suffers from this condition...FiSta gave you the link on what could be done...nothings erious, a design flaw most likely

Thank you guys
It looks like the fix is to disconnect it, but this is my wife's car and I want to repair it since, I dont see her gettin under the hood.....
So the permanent fix is to replace that little black can ?
Wonder if it can be fixed .
Thanks OLT for your previous posts on the topic and their pictures.
