Default Car won't start...

I've been playing around with my suspension tryin to figure out a good stance and the other day jes messin around I set my coilovers pretty low and while I was driving around my neigborhood I hit a little dip in the road and my car bottomed out. I drove home no problem jacked up my car to re-set the coilovers and when all said and done and ready to park in the garage my car wouldnt start. I'm assuming when I bottomed out I mustve done something to the starter or the selenoid cause the battery still has plenty of juice it. When I turn the key all I hear is the fuel pump. Any advice or suggestions???

Check the wire harness in the driver side fender. The more you lower your car the easier it is for the tire to rip through the harness.

Definately check the driver side harness. Low suspension + dip in road + Improperly set up coils/shocks + Horrible placement of wiring harness = electrical problems and/or car not starting.

Dude just checked your profile it states you have a GS 300 not an SC. Different things could be affecting that might not be known on this forum. If its a GS I'd suggest moving it to that forum for help.

That bump most likley didn't do anything to your starter. Does it crank ,but not start? The fuel pump works do you have any spark? Do you have a check engine light turn on when you turn the key on? See if you can get any voltage reading from the fuel injectors or if you have a test light use that. See if you have spark and then tell me the results from your findings. Later>>>

...it doesnt crank or start...there is spark....yes, the check engine light is on...i think maybe the wiring harness got knocked out because after i removed the plastic fender lining inside i noticed the lil box where the wires are in was cracked...the wires looked like they were spliced open...i think that may be the problem...

thanks for your suggestion....Also to SC300STED...when i first looked inside my fender i didnt notice anything out of the ordinary, but i decided to take out my fender lining anyway and i noticed a big crack on the box where the wiring harness is housed...noticed that the red wire was spliced...im still looking into it....

How does it have spark if it doesn't crank? Does your car crank? As in does it turn over? What is your CEL code? There is a big possibility that the harness on your driver side is messed up due to being so low and rubbing.

Least you figured it out. I kinda had a feeling but didn't want to mention it. I remember this next time it comes up.
