Talking Got my MVP Headers today *update: vids!*

Woot!

I'd like to thank Rob@MVP and MVP Motorsports for the excellent service! and the Manifold makes me want to cry and not put it on my car. So Shiny!

I'd also like to make this thread into a information store, because i had to plow through many, many threads to get all the info i needed. Might as well make one cohesive thread.

Parts:

MVP Manifold
Bosch #11027 (x2) o2 Sensors (universal, comes with crimp connector)
Exhaust Flange Gasket (x1) #31350 @ RockAuto.

According to ki_soarer's thread this solves a possible sealing issue with the stock mippipe.

and Probably some new exhaust bolts for the header/midpipe. i figure i go to the toyota dealership and grab a complete bolt kit? I'd like to replace all the bolts with new ones, because i see some of mine underneath the car, and they are COVERED with rust!

Hopefully, sometime next week. Waiting for a friend of mine to be free, so we can install it.

Best believe sound clips will be made!

Throw that ish on!

I got mine a couple months ago, along with a new custom header-back 3" exhaust. Butt-dyno read a difference, for sure. I have an Apexi SAFC Neo too, but I have not dyno tuned the car yet... Waiting until winter break. So I can't give specific numbers for the improvements, but I can feel a difference (and it's not like "ooo, I think there might be a slight improvement here." it's more like "wow that feels a lot better.")

You bet i will

Im purchasing Gforce's HKS Superdragger and i have a SAFC lying around. havent installed the AFC yet. I really can't wait to install it... its torture! Been driving around with a big *** exhaust leak (cracked precat/manifold) for the past month.

Do you thinks its better Quality than the obx racing? I was going to buy the obx racing header because its $300 + $35 for shipping and it comes with the
mid pipe also.

I had these on my 300 before I wrecked it and I must say I wasn't impressed. You could feel the difference in power, and the top end was increased by a lot. It took a lot longer to get up in the RPMs.

I really didn't like the rattle noise when you get a little above 2K. I did all of the fix-its you listed and it was still there. I really had to drive it like a baby to prevent it from doing the rattle. Perhaps raspy is a better name for the noise, it sounded like a Honda..

Good luck though, I really hope it was just my car and not yours too!

i think i know the sound you are talking about. i get this with my stock manifold sometimes, at ~2500RPM sounds like a hissing/grating/shaking sound. Some people say that its a loose bolt somewhere, or it may in fact be the manifold...dunno. We'll see what happens.

Hopefully i have no noises! i know that i may be aware of anything awry after the novelty wears off, you know how that is.
