Default 1JZ+Trans+GT35r=?

So ive got an auto 1jz sc3. I hear the limit of those are 260rwkw or 360 rwhp. I’m considering an r154 but its going to take forever trying to price and piece out everything as my car is not currently a manual. So im considering built autos.

The T66 strapped on there right now wont be there for long, im switching to a gt35r and chasing after 450~500whp range. This is not a drag car, im just looking for a nice kick. So what tranny options do I have?

-Build my current Auto?
-Swap for stock Aristo auto? (possible?)
-Swap for stock USDM MKIV Turbo auto
-Swap for Build USDM MKKIV Auto?

I wont be thrashing this car about on the track, or on the street really. Just once in a while I want to be able to go WOT on the highway or stoplight to stop light without having to worry about my transmission.

Any ideas? Id prefer someone who’s actually done this and is not passing on unverified internet knowledge.

Thanks

Swap for stock USDM MKIV Turbo auto, I would go with that one but I think they are as hard to find as a V160. I am sure others have better solutions.

for that,
I head you need the sc400 driveshaft, and some sort of ecu control (supra stick, or aem) Would it hold what power im looking for?

If you say so send me and Hennessey a link, I know of at least 2 people who's been looking for over a month. Used Transmission not New. Let us know. They were told they are as hard find unless you get them from JAPAN. Some places are not willing to seperate the transmission from the engine.

If it's going to cost you about 600 for an auto why not pay more and get a mk3 r154 and throw that on? don't forget the the parts to change over like the bell housing and all the other parts

Correct me if im wrong,
but I recall the parts list for an "auto to 154 swap" is quite longer than that. If it can be done around 1-1.2k ill do it.

Default Aristo 2jzgte auto's = USDM mkiv auto ?

What am I missing here? Is there a useful difference between the USDM MKIV Turbo auto and the Aristo 2jzgte autos? Isn't the Aristo auto an easily adapted bolt on and capable of ~400 hp (they're handling the conservative oem ~320hp 2jzgte hp)?

I'm thinking they have to hook up because my w58 went directly from my USDM 2jzte to the Aristo 2jzgte when swaped.

I thought the Aristo 2jzgte auto's were common place. I may still have a cherry one from my Aristo JDM swap in storage with minimal miles, like 25k and if someone's interested, let me know because its hardly broken-in and a little pissed off that it's not part of the 440whp that the engine now delivers via a w58.

USDM tt auto's... is most likely the same as the JDM TT Auto. I've never swapped one. I have a soarer R154. I am sure it could be put together though. Its probably very similar to the soarer TT auto

My train of thought, If there is no USDM TT AUTOS available, maybe a JDM TT AUTO will work. Hey Henny good luck. I will talk to Peter @ ISP in Beltsville and he may have one laying around. Lords knows there enough supra and Sc in his shop.
