Default Oil change

I use penzoil full synthetic in my 99 sc400 my question is how often should I change the oil since its synthetic? Whats the best oil brand to use?

I also used a mobil 1 extended performance oil filter but I noticed its shorter than the toyota filter that was on there so is that mobil 1 filter good enough?

Thank you

Change it 3k/3 months like normal oil changes IMO. You could go longer but either way oil changes are a very small investment to keep you car moving the way it should. As for brands there is no "best" motor oil out there because they all do the same thing: Lubricate. You could spend a little more on those performance one but you get such little power in return there really is no point. What you have now works just fine.

Filters come in all sorts of sizes for each car but as long as you keep your distance from Fram oil filters you'll be fine.

i'm about to change my oil, too, for the first time (myself) and i guess i will just pick an oil brand. Just not sure if it's regular or synthetic oil in my engine already. I assume it's regular, non-synthetic oil..?.. Any way to tell?

it really doesn't matter what oil you use as long as the viscoisty is the same ex 5w30 just pick synthetic or conventional and do your oil changes regularly if you race the car i recommend synthetic as it holds up to heat alot better than conventional
