Default 92 SC400 switching between Drive and O/D?

Just as the title says. It drives and shifts fine under normal driving conditions, but if I try to do a little "spirited" driving is when I have the problems.

The transmission seems like it cant decide between Drive and O/D or Drive and its passing gear. When the pedal is floored, the transmission wants to keep jumping between two gears .

Is it as simple as maybe a TPS adjustment?

Thanks

doesnt sound like a tps problem, more like a trans selanoid problem. when was the last time you replaced the fluid?

Well I saved the car from going to the salvage yard, I really don't know the history on the drivetrain and I read that it might be better to not change the fluid than to change it and run into problems.

The car will eventually will be getting a 2jzgte and R154 that's in my shop, but for now, Id like to figure out the prob cuz Im driving it now while I'm refreshing the new drivetrain going in.

Do I dare and change the fluid and filter?
