Default Starter Help.

Hey gents, here is the deal. So about 4 months ago I replaced the starter in my 92 SC400. Everything worked out fine, except 3 times in that time(twice today) the starter will engage as I am going down the road. I shut the car off and restart it and its fine.

I am wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else or if it is just a freak thing on mine. Not sure if it is a faulty switch that is shorting out, or if it is something else. The car was not running when I bought it so I have no idea how long this was going on. The other starter when I took it out looked fine as far as the teeth go and the ring gear looked good.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I would try to get ahold of a diff. starter to rule out all the trouble being in the starter.

Yea thought about that, but that is the last resort I want to tackle. Any other suggestions before I yank the starter again?
