Default w58 issue?

So recently I've been having a problem with my tranny. It seems as though there is something catching when i shift from first to second. Someone on here had mentioned that there isnt a synchro for first gear, so what would cause this problem? If something is wrong, what are some options as far as fixing it?

thanks guys!

further research shows, fluid change and shifter bushing could fix it, any other ideas?

im guessing he means it sticks alittle going into second.
try replacing fluids and if it continues youre better off getting another w58 or upgrade to a r154

It would be the bushing if you have the earlier model tranny.
