Carputer setup for real time/datalogging
Hey guys!
*Mods I put in performance section because I thought these guys could appreciate how I set this up to view real time data through my setup via a LCD 8" touchscreen/carputer. Watch for the finished project, (hopefully tomorrow)
Well here is the latest project, I won't have it done tonight but I hope to be done tomorrow along with some wiring up of new toys, etc. My setup is going to be using a laptop and LCD screen to run my MAP ECU and view real data while driving in my center console. I am waiting on some glue to dry right now I thought I would go ahead and start documenting it. Here are some progress pics:
The ripping apart portion,
The center console before the cutting,
Here is where I cut out the majority of the console,
First fiberglass, (yucky....)
More sanding, more bondo,( I decided to switch to bondo because it's alot easier to work with imho.) and the cutout for the bottom section,
More bondo....more sanding.....Everything about ready to start cutting,
Center section cutout for LCD, with....yes....more bondo.....and more sanding....
This is about where I am at now, and I bet the glue is dried so....MORE BONDO AND MORE SANDING!!!
I will keep updating and hopefully have it done by tomorrow with some pics of it all working when the car is running.
