Default V8-V6 gauge cluster swap info. (tach mainly)

Just wondering if you might be able to help me out. I've got an sc400 cluster. Tach is for v8. Can I set up the tach for a 6? I know on after market tachs it just involves clipping a wire. Would you happen to know how to accomplish this on an sc400 tach?

Thanks!
