I'm about two paychecks away from going na-t...
I've talked to some people and have gotten mixed reviews. I'm going to be doing all the work myself with the help of knowledgeable friends. Most people tell me it's not worth it and it's a bad investment for an auto car. In the back of my mind Im also thinking I might regret it and dig myself too deep in a project. So should I go Na-t or just forget it and throw on a nice set of rims, sway bars, etc.
Goal - xs t61 kit, 10psi, stock compression. Little over 300whp.

I'm saying go NA-T. But it depends what is your goal with the car. What usually happens is the more power you make the more maintenance you will have to do. If you haven't modded your car yet I would start with suspension, wheels, and then brakes before going on to more power. Good luck with your decision.

Your tranny wont last long with over 300hp. You are most likely going to dig yourself into a hole because you will want way more than 300.

BTW, your motor won't like 10psi on stock compression either.

Go NA-T man... I think it's the wisest things to do if your GE motor is in good shape and you don't wanna put down the dough for a 2jzgte. Just get a build auto if you don't want a manual swap done.

i love my na-t...but i would recommend u save up another 4 paychecks to cover any else you may be forgetting/will be breaking/etc.

i would wait a bit and spend some $$$ preparing your car for more power. New brakes, refresh the tranny, suspension and engine before you go all wacky and bust up something because you car couldn't handle the crazy power and the excessive speeds that will result in all that power. You're almost there, just wait a little longer to save you from more headaches if you just put a turbo on it now.

I say go turbo, but don't go with the XS-power kit unless you've got some extra dough to spread around. It's a good kit, for DIY people. If you want a kit that wont require a few extra parts to make it fit right then save up for a PHR, BL, BW, or ETS kit. Also try to go easy on the boost until the rest of your car can handle it.

If you want to avoid doing the head gasket get some meth. You can keep your stock compression and not have to worry about blowing something up.
