Default Engine Oil Capacity / pressure light

I installed an oil filter relocation kit and am trying to get the oil level correct. (1JZGTE)

I cannot just fill until the F line because the way this is mounted the oil drains down the extra long lines(for another future oil cooler) and out the filter with the car off.. but once the car is on it will flow through, so in theory id need to check it while its running.

My idea is to start it with the low engine oil light on... fill gradually until that light goes off....and then add the appropriate amount. My question is what is that appropriate amount to add when the light first comes on?

I have read while searching that it is 2 quarts and also that it is 1 when the yellow light is on. Can anybody confirm from a manual or something how much exactly to add when your light first comes on?

I can do some math also and try to calculate the amount of oil my lines and filter will hold... with that said can anyone confirm the exact amount of oil that is supposed to go into a normal 1jzgte? Since i cant check when the car is off i can add those two numbers together for my answer also.

Thanks

I found a post that the oil capacity is 5.2 liters = 5.49 quarts.

I found a post that says he adds 5.2 quarts each time which makes sense because about ~ .3 qt may be sitting in the engine still.

Im going to go with adding 5.3 and trying to calculate the capacity of my other setup.

Input is still appreciated if you have any.

Figure out how much extra oil it takes to fill the extra lines and just add that much extra for now and see how it does.

hmmm, car seems to be burning oil... a new white smoke is occurring, i take it that is because i have too much oil?? Anybody confirm this?

VWynn - I cant check the level, reread my first post.

Kyoso23 - just add that much extra, xtra too what? Can anybody confirm how much the stock 1jz takes? 5.2qt? 5.4? 4.5?..... i betting on 5.2 but would like the confirmation.

Thanks
