Default Oil leak? Into the floorboard?!

So, a month ago I saw my fuel gauge jumping up and down for a few seconds and could hear this spurting noise front behind my center console. I looked, poked around a bit, couldnt find anything. Oil level was low so I topped her off. Yesterday I take my car to do a nice little wash and interior makeover and as I'm taking the floor mats I see the bottom of the driver side was a little wet, although there was nothing on the floorboard, until...Until I took the vacuum and pressed it against the carpet on the driver side floor, I saw oil, straight oil coming through the carpet. When I would take the vacuum off the floor (hence no pressure pushing down to squeeze the oil up) there was nothing there.

No bull, there was straight oil coming through, I didn't want to rip the carpet up yet because my life is busy enough right now. Any idea how this could have happened or any way it can be prevented again, anything? Ever heard of anything like this?

Just guessing, but do you have any mechanical gauges in your car that could possibly have leaked behind the dash?

as a matter of fact I do, so youre thinking the lines going to the actual gauge itself are loose, give or take?

Awesome interior, wish mine looked like that. It could be that the lines to the gauges are leaking, it's worth checking.
