Question HELP: identify this part, and what does it do? 2JZGE people

Hey guys, just wondering what this part is, and what is it related to? If anyone knows, post your knowledge! I cant seem to find this using search, dont even know what it is. Emissions related?... (by the way, i think mines is off or cracked, dont know if something is suppose to connect there)

Yes, it is EGR related.

It's a solenoid for the fuel pressure regulator. It's used on cold startup to keep vacuum off the regulator so the injectors see more fuel pressure.

It is broken on the end you circled but it's not a bad thing as its only a filter.

hmm, if i dont have it, could it possibly give me low idle?.. and also, how much do you think it would cost to fix it, cause i really dont want a cracked piece just sitting there, i might as well replace it or something.

huh thats cali emissions only stuff. I don't have one on mine. Plus i took off all emissions and it made the car run alot better. Plus the Engine Bay looks cleaner.

Im pretty sure your car wouldnt have it if your car is a 92. Im also pretty sure its not cali emissions stuff as it doesnt have anything to do with emissions. Someone correct me if Im wrong.

by the way guys, on that solenoid or module, there is one hose that connects from that to the intake manifold, then there is another hose from there to the fpr? then theres that bottom cracked piece, which i have no clue where that would go, cause i dont see any other available fitting i can put it on even if i had a new hose in its place...

Gotta be Cali emissions/FPR solenoid. Mine doesn't have it.

I have a 97 sc3 here in Mass and mine has what looks like a filter, its about 2 inches long and shaped like barrel
