98-00 sc300 and SAFCII, help please..
i just installed the safcII on the sc300 98. I followed T10-a everything seems to work till i try to start the engine. I can't start the car and CEL comes on. when i disconnect the MAF wires from the SAFCII and connect them back together, the car goes back to normal. I first used the white and yellow wires for the maf, then i switched to the pink and orange only to get the same outcome. I switched the setting from Karman to Hotwire, still no luck. So, how do you guys connect your maf wires? And what do you pick for the settings? I really searched, for days now! But all the posts were around the OBDI SC's..

Refer to the SAFC manual to make sure you are using the wires for the hotwire maf.
next. reset the SAFC and make sure its set to hotwire.
next. if it still doesn't work then your wiring is wrong. double check to locations of the knock sensor wires on the ecu harness to make sure you are using the right diagram. That's usually the easiest way to make sure the wiring diagram your using for the SAFC is the correct one.
Don't forget to reset your ECU as well.

Thnx curry for stepping in to help. A question: what number should i put for the hotwire No? i tried 12, 13,4 and 1. I also put 1 in and 1 out.. Oh, and by resetting the ECU, do you mean just disconnecting the battery for few seconds after setting up the SAFC? That's one thing i didn't do, because it doesn't say anything about htat in the manual but i'll try it..
