Default Indepth exhaust question

Ok guys i have been sitting on a 2.5" magnaflow xpipe for over a year now. I have been back and forth on deciding whether or not to put it on. My car sounds good right now like g35 on steriods with ZERO drone. She will quiet right down to stock at highway and driving speeds.

I could do with a little bit louder. I would prefer a little bit louder actually but i fear that removing that third cat for the x pipe might add to much raspy metallic sound for me. The sound clips on intellextual seemed nice but it was hard to get an idea on what the car actually sounded like underload and or driving.

My current set up is no resonators and 5 zigen fireball mega with all cats still intact.

I'd be going to deleted third cat 2.5" x pipe 2.5" pipe back to 5 zigen mega fireballs.

I am really worried this would give me that 4.6L mustang sound. I mean thats a good sound but my friends 99 GT has horrible drone on the highway, i hate having to shout over engine noise.

Let me tell you a little story...

When I bought my GS it had stock exhaust with L-Tuned mufflers. It sounded awesome. Just like a G35 (which BTW is my favorite exhaust note.) Anyway, I decided to go FI so I stepped up to a 3" exhaust, no cats, mandrel piping, mandrel X pipe yada yada. While it worked better for my application, I hated losing the sweet sound I used to have.

My point - if you like the way your car sounds now, leave it as is. Unless you go turbo, these cars are not fast, so enjoy a sweet sound, don't forgo it for a meaner sound that is not representative of your car...

Hope this helps.

I have found that as you increase sound, you gain drone...

Personally, I would enjoy it how you have it.
