I have a new timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, and drive belt. I couldn't break the crankshaft nut loose with it out of the car, so before I put the radiator in I'm going to change the timing belt and water pump. Most people just put a breaker bar over the wrench, wedge it against the ground, and crank the engine for like half a second to break it loose. I'll probably have the car running by tomorrow, so I'll change them either tomorrow or wednesday.
dont worry, you'll get it figured out. once youve got it in, dont expect it to run perfectly though, just pray you dont have any of that stupid 3k sputtering crap... its a PITA!!! but in the end you'll get it running right and it will be that much sweeter. Good luck bro.
Thanks bud. Ya, I hope it runs right the first time. I would hate to go back and redo all that stuff. I read your thread about the 3k BS and that would be a real pain in my *******. How long did it take you to sort out?
Update:
Started on the first crank and effin purrs. We cheated though and bypassed the starter. We still need to figure out how to do the neutral bypass. We've tried sticking a fuse in the grey plug that was from the auto, but it didn't work. If anyone knows how to do this neutral bypass, let me know. Thanks.
Oh, and by the way, if you take out the starter bypass, and plug in the necessary plug, it cranks when you connect the battery. any info about this would be good too. Thanks.
