Tune-up and slave cyl for $1k?
I just brought my SC 300 to the shop Friday, and had the following things done:
- Clutch's Slave Cylinder replaced
- New Spark Plug Wires (STI)
- Complete tune-up (with Denso Double Platinum spark plugs)
- Fuel Filter replaced
I'm not a mechanic by any stretch of my (or your) imagination, but I was thinking this should cost less than $940. The mechanic I've been using for years with my Integra, but I've always researched the parts/labor and found him fairly reasonable--sometimes more than reasonable. Why do I feel like this is too much?
Also, for future knowledge... where should I post this type of question? General? Performance? I read the FAQ (for the fourth or fifth time now since joining) just to make sure I posted it in the right place :P

Engine, forced induction, intakes, exhausts, torque converters, transmissions, etc.
this has to do with engine, i think its in the right spot..but ive been wrong before >.<..and thats cheaper than a tune up from Blackwell Lexus here localy...they are still a lexus dealer, but are known for being the CHEAPEST dealer in the southeast....i have a 2nd local shop that specializes in toyota/lexus and nissan/infinity, and they charged a friend of mine just under 800 for a full tune up.
call around, see what other people tell you for the same thing, that will normaly get you your best answer for your area, because prices vary greatly from place to place
