I too am looking for a 1J manifold. I was hoping to find some sort of cast manifold cause i don't want to deal with cracking and whatnot....

chinamanifolds blow and 100% sure will crack unless you reinforce the runners and reweld everything. I personally dont want to bother with all that and am looking into a cast unit. They are generally cheaper and MUCH stronger than any of the CHEAP tubular setups, not talking about the good tubular setups here.

Buying a quality manifold just buys you more time, stainless with crack because it's stainless. I am running a chinamanifold and when I put in the new turbo I dye checked everything and it was fine. I'm not sure how long the previous owner had run on it.

Drewgo has great manifolds, have yet to hear of any cracking. Which is what I will be using when I go single.

boost logic, drewgo, and almost everyone else has their manifolds made in china. When was the last case you heard of a JZ manifold cracking ???

Drewgo's manifolds are made in china to his specification, their already reinforced, and have a better location for the wastegate.

exactly ! its probably even made in the same exact factory as the others. they share the same supports over the runners. yeah they are MADE to his specs which are the wastegate location and routing of the runners other than that its still made by a Chinese welder using Chinese materials.
I rather page $130 or so on ebay and weld the 2 rod supports like he did.
