Default radiator blew!

ok... so my gf comes in and tells me the cars overheating...we take it to the shop and when they give us a call back they say 900 dollars to fix the radiator the tank split or something the guys gave me three option full replacement 900 or an all metal replacement 850 and last just a radiator no therm change and other stuff for 650....bleh is that about normal for a change or do i need to hit the junkyards for a radiator and do it myself?

You can buy a Koyo all aluminum radiator for like $450. Put it in yourself...It does not cost $900 to change radiator. What a rip off~
