Default Good or bad?

Is this a good deal for a 1jz-gte?

Or are there other sites/places I can get a 1jz-gte?

DONT buy ebay engines...i've known a few people that got engines that were just straight crap..

unless you plan on a full teardown and rebuild, dont do it.

correct...but when 2 people that i know, order an RB25 from the same seller with 100% positive feedback, and both get an RB20, 1 with a blown hg, and the other with rod knock, it tells you something about ebay

i just picked mine up from jhot, it was 110% intact with everything i need and more.. paid $1025 for it..

i'd only go through Jhotimports.com and jarcoinc.com

Jhot just recycles cars in japan and send the goods here so they don't really have a way to know what they are always getting, there websites inventory is normally not accurate, you have to just call them every couple weeks and see what they have.

Jarco is probably the best actual importer, they sell the best swaps by far, they cost more then jhot though.

i'd say if you aren't in a huge rush go with jhot, i think i waited about a month before they had some 1j's..

if you need it now call jarco.

either one you'll get a nice motorset.

^^^ Awesome! Thanks for the reply. I was also wondering about Jhot's inventory because when I check online it seems like they don't have any 1jz's. I guess I'll just have to call them up then. Thanks!

jhot website has links to their ebay store. Yea, there is junk out there, but just because its on ebay doesn't automatically mean it is. Ebay is just a tool for selling.

But yes, I see what you mean, it does make one paranoid when shopping for big ollar items like engine sets. When I bought my 2jzgte I sent about 50 emails making sure that they knew EXACTLY what I wanted. I got lucky and scored a Mine's ecu with uhhhmmmm mine...

btw this is from an "ebay" company. Tensioner was broken on shipping. They sent me a new one. The quality just really depends on the company, not because it is or is not on ebay.
