Synthetic Oil Benefits?
Ok.. I have a well maintained SC300 with 95K. I've been changing the oil myself for my Harley w/ Valvoline Synpower. I thought, maybe i should make the change for my SC, to Mobil 1.
For all that have made this change. What benefits do you experience?
Thanks.

From what i understan synthetic oils give you better gas milage fewer oil change better idle/smoothness etc. I use royal purple and a toyota filter .My turbos come on alot better with rp 15-40 rather than conventional oil.

"Is Mobil 1 with SuperSyn Technology a fully synthetic motor oil?
Yes, it is. To meet the demanding requirements of today's specifications (and our customers' expectations), Mobil 1 with SuperSyn uses high-performance fluids, including polyalphaolefins (PAOs), along with a proprietary system of additives. Each Mobil 1 with SuperSyn viscosity grade uses a unique combination of synthetic fluids and selected additives in order to tailor the viscosity grade to its specific application."

I have found that using 0W40 Mobil 1 helps compression, even better than the 10W40 in the dino oils.
There are a lot of other factors, and thing being changed in modern oils; the wear additives have come under fire, and have been eliminated/reduced in many oils lately. I have a spreadsheet that someone else has made with a breakdown of many oils, I'll try and find it and post it up if you want.
