Default 95 sc 300 8000 miles tranny problem

I just bought a 95 sc 300 with only 8,000 miles on it !! the car is new!!
i noticed that it wasnt going into od after pushing od button.. still no luck
dealer says i need a throttle posion sensor to further check the problem.
does this have anything to do with the tranny and will this fix the problem?
please respond. also looking for a good lexus shop in south fla area
thank you..

With 8K miles your car should not have any problems with it. But you should check to see if the button is even has a connection and check fuses if applicable. If you do not have a check engine light on then I would not worry about the TPS sensor.

You got a title with that...cause 8K and a tranny problem seems fishy.

Hope your cluster hasn't been replaced.

Was the car in a flood? The TPS must be another issue you are having.

I'd get a second opinion on this one.

With 8K miles this car was probably sitting for a long time somewhere.

That's right, and it could've got ants in the wiring or mice rats etc...

Have you pulled the shifter to see what the wiring there look's like? It's easy.
