Default How to remove auto-transmission cooler hard lines

I've got a GTE swap in progress and I want to take the long cooler lines off of the TT Auto trans for the time being. You can loosen the nuts at the base of the line but not completely. I feel like an idiot, but I cannot get them off. Any help greatly appreciated.
