Default Calling the experts. I need some fatter track wheels.

I have some pretty good track wheels now but would like to know the widest I can run on my car. I think I would like to run the same size wheels all around maybe a slight stagger. Being that it is for the track I can not have them rub. I'm thinking to run 17's (I have 18's now but tires are a bit cheaper with 17's)

Please recommend.

Rim size/width

Offset

tire size

Thanks

i have 275 in the back with 35 offset i have no rubbing at all 275 is pretty damn wide, why do you need to go so wide? are you doing grip or drift, or drag racing? adjust ur coilovers better that will help with traction, once its dialed in perfectly

I want to grip and I get good traction and have it all dialed in but I want more. I have 18/8 offset 30 Front with 245/40/18 and 18/8.5 offset 33 rear with 255/40/18. The tires are a bit wide for the rims but they are azenis 615's and they have real stiff sidewalls so they do pretty good. I'm thinking I would like to run 9.5 rims all around and I'm thinking maybe 255 rubber because I think I would do better to have a little stretch on my track wheels. I would really like some input on what I can run.

Thanks

what i was planning to do is to buy two sets of supra TT wheels and keep 4 17x9.5 rear wheels. this way you have 17x9.5 all around and its guaranteed not to rub and to clear BBK. the other 4 17x8 wheels i was gonna sell to my buddy to put on his daily driver mk3 supra.

I've been thinking about the rear supra wheels too. Can anyone confirm that these will not rub. I think 9.5 offset 50 should clear. What size rubber would you run? 255/40 all around or could you fit more?

The wheel & tire fitment guide from the Supra Forums applies to the SC300 as well. New Wheel & Tire fitment guide.

You can run Supra rears in the front with 275's a no rubbing. What brakes are you running? I would call CCW and get some 17" classics and run 275/285 in the front and modify your rear and run a 285-315. These cars are pigs, but they feel half decent with a lot of rubber under them..

Is there someone that could test fit the TT rear wheels up front. I think they should fit with the 255/40 tire but want to make sure. I spoke to a guy at CCW and he said that the widest you can run is a 9" wheel. That doesn't seem right because I have 8.5" up front with my 19's and from looking at it there appears to be plenty of room. From my estimates the supra rear wheels has a comparable off set to my 8.5" +36 so they should fit the fenders the same and and just have an inch more backspacing. Plus with the tires slightly stretched I think it will fit but just don't want to buy and then to find out that they won't.

Thanks

i've got tt rims on my car w/ stock supra sized KDWs and all rub, front and back. i need to roll my fenders a bit for these tires. it does depend on the tires though. when i initially bought the car, it also had tt rims but had some continental tires, 275's in the rear and did not rub.

Wow, I assume you run 275/40/17. I can't wait to try that out. Are you fenders rolled? Mine will be rolled more by the end of next week anyway so I guess it doesn't matter.

Thanks. any more advise is very welcome.

What have you done to the fenders? How flush are the wheels? Whats the specs on the rear?
