Performance & Maintenance Engine, forced induction, intakes, exhausts, torque converters, transmissions, etc.

is this normal?

Default is this normal?

i saw this hanging from while i was underneath my car today.. its a hose that isnt connected up to anything.. the other end goes to the bottom of the battery housing thing.. is it some sort of drain?.. or is it suppose to be connected to something?

If it's connected to the bottom of the battery holding tray then don't worry, yes - it's just a drain for when you drive through puddles and water gets all up in the engine compartment.

Best to get water away from where a battery lives right? So they give the tray a drain.

Yep, it's supposed to be like that, it even has its own hole cut in the tray!
