Default Soleniod valve for the heater

My car has falling victim of the no heat over the past couple of days. I have read that mostly its this valve but I am having a hard time finding a picture of it. By any chance does anyone have a pic of this so I can do the mod(tee the two vac lines together)so I can have some heat till I go back to the jy this weekend? Thanks in advance

Interesting little tidbit for ya. If it happens to be that your solenoid is dead, and you go to a local junkyard, and they don't have an SC there or any other Lexus' that has the same solenoid as ours, you can look for an Acura 3.5RL, thats what I pulled my replacement solenoid from. Its EXACTLY the same one as in the SC.

You can thank me later.
The object I am holding with my hand is the solenoid.

And yes, I do have 2 in the picture, I was just too lazy to pull the dead one out. The other one was a spare I had, but that also soon failed, so thats when I had to go buy one from the junkyard (The one that was in the RL).

thank you you are a genius. I will tee this on my way home.

P.s. after looking over and over again at your pic I see the shiny new intake. Then I read your sig. What intake is that and do you think it was worth it?

i might have to take you up on that. I haven't had time to tee the vac lines to see if that fixes the problem. If it does you will get a pm from me in the morning

What do you mean the right way? As apposed to doing the little line direct feed? Or do you mean by using a different car brands solenoid?

and to Knightridr: The intake is a BBK pipe that is usually for Mustangs. I got the pipe from a friend who gave it to me for free, and I just fabricated it to work in the stock location. As far as it being worth it. I don't know if i have had an improvement in gas mileage from it, maybe due to more opening for the air to go through, but I will tell you it allows you to hear the motor better .
Heres a better view for ya:

I guess I have the same problem. I found about it last week when it was cold as hell (30's) here in San Antonio. I was taking off to work so I turn on the heater and after a few minutes I realize it wasn't working, it was actually freezing my a$$ even more. I drove for a few more miles and turned it back on, but it didn't work so I froze on my way to work. Anyhow, I didn't know the culprit was this valve. Thanks for posting this, I'm headed to the yard this weekend to get one off an LS400.
thanks again!
