i believe that an Idle Air Control motor. at idle the throttle body is closed and this pumps air into the intake manifold so the engine runs

I believe the technical term forthat is a filthy dirty engine compartment! But yeah...Idle Air Control Motor or valve...sometimes referred to as IAC

thats the closest pic i could find on google that acutally showed up close..yes,i kno its a dirty engine compartment,once again,not my engine compartment..
