is there a way to keep cruise control this way? if not i found a SC300 in the junkyard with a manual transmission and im going to just get the entire dash harness and swap it. im going for the "everything works" look on my swap and Cruise is a must. i am also gonna get the cruise control ECU.
but im alll about saving cash. so if i can wire it up to work. i'll do it.

Yes blast from the past, but are you supposed to splice in the wire at the relay from below and reinstall the relay? Or just crimp a male spade connector to the wire and stick it into where the OP has the screwdriver at, leaving the relay removed? Thanks

There's no need to run any long wires in the cabin from the bay, etc. there's a large plug on the transmission for the gear selector. This is the neutral start switch. Pins 2 & 3 need to be clipped from the plug, twisted together, and soldered and heat shrinked. This is the method to use when 5 speed swapping a factory auto sc300 and most likely 400 the quick and dirty way without removing the excess wiring.
On a swapped car where the chassis was auto and is getting a 5spd gte swap, or whatever, lsx, diesel, unicorn, etc, run a wire through your harness when you have it apart (proper swap) directly from connector eb1, pin 3 in the engine bay by the fuse box (6pin connector) all the way to the ij1 plug, pin 6, in the passenger side kick panel. It's a blocky dark grey 14 pin plug with two fat wires in the middle.

What was Dr.Tweaks way?
I tried this on my original 95 5spd swapped with a 94 auto soarer utilizing my stock w58. This did NOT work for me because yes it does get the starter working but it also caused the car to sputter and not go over 3k rpm or so. I called Dr. Tweak and he said that this is a big no no and told me the correct way to do it. Once I did it per his instructions, BAM no more hesitation or sputtering.
Just giving you guys my experience.
