Default Shifter Stuck in Park, auto headlights don't work

When I bought my 1995 SC400 it had a wireless phone installed, with a cradle. Today I cut the wires that connected from the car to the unused cradle, and when I tried to put the car in gear the shifter would not move back into drive. I also noticed that my automatic headlights won't come on, they will turn on manually, but at night they will not switch on by themselves when switched to "auto". I think there must be a blown fuse, but I looked and I don't know where to find it. Does anyone know how to fix this, or where the fuse controlling the automatic headlights is located?

For the shifter, check the tail and brake fuses.

Do you hear a clicking from the shifter when you press the brake?

Do your brake lights come on?

The auto headlights may be on the same fuse.

Look in the owners manual, if you have one, for fuse locations.

There is a bunch on the drivers side under the dash, you may need to move the carpet to see them.
