I've said before, the gearing is not the issue, we are talking about .10th's of a ratio difference.

The issue is getting it all bolted up.

Whoever does that first, will be able to answer all the questions regarding installation, quirks, etc.

Honestly, the small amount money involved and fabrication regarding this swap totally outweighs "Drift Taxed", Worn out R154's from Old Supras.

I can't wait to see some install pics!

I will either give the solstice one a shot or go v160, but it will be much later this year or most likely next. hopefully someone does it before then.

From what I've read on the supramania and a few other random leads, it's do-able and done. As luck would have it I just found a place near me that is a great source for newer model used parts.might be doin this some time this yr

Hi, I'm the guy with the Solstice. Quick note about the Colorado transmission, if you go that route you're going to have to fab a custom front plate for the trans otherwise you'll bottom out crap on the bolt holes that are on it for the Colorado throw out bearing and it'll randomly lathe itself and ruin everything. Also I THINK the input shaft is longer, and would definitely bottom out on the crank as well. We thought we would have this issue with the solstice transmission and would have to get a spacer cut, but it worked just fine without it.

S10 clutch holds just fine, it's just about the same diameter as the supra disk except with GM splines. We're using a spec stage 5 hd pressure plate.

How do you like the setup so far? Is the tranny holding the power that you thought it would?

I love the new video. How much power are you putting through it right now?

I am going to be picking up a Ar5 in the next few weeks. Can you explain alittle more, why the colorado is not a buy? Or why it wont work?

You will need to make a custom front plate for the Colorado transmission, the bolt holes that are on it for the colorado throw out bearing stick out too far and will interfere with the JZ throwout bearing/pressure plate. The one's on the Solstice transmission do not stick out as far. More importantly, I'm pretty sure the input shaft is longer, which would bottom out on the crank, but don't quote me on that.

thanks for the info, its looking like the colorado is not the way to go.

Looks like the solstice with the s10 clutch and getting the shifter/housing modded.
can you explain more what you need on the driveshaft end for the solstice it was a little hard to read through all the stuff in that other thread.
