whatsup guys, newbie here, purchased a 95sc3 5spd bout a month ago, i know i want a 1jz but i was wondering if anyone can answer me these questions. i know all you have to do is extend the 1jz harness to plug into the sc harness, what year motor do i need and from what car. i need a detailed shopping list b4 i start buying parts. thanks for the help in advance.

You should of told him what car takes two seconds to type out. You need the motor that comes out of the Soarer. Talk to Jhot, thats where I got mine.

paly123bo1 .. thanks for the comment .. ive searched and im trying to get to the point. obviously your not willing to help so thanks anyway. rex thanks for the info, any specific year soarer do i need to get it from so the dash plugs match or are they all the same. i know i need to use the jdm ecu. thanks again.

I wouldn't have a clue on the yrs i'm assuming any yr soarer. If anyone can answer this question. But just call J-hot they will set you up ! I got my motor for 1300 shipped. Comes with everything you need.

I am more than willing to help, the best thing to do is lurk for about 2-3 (I lurked for a year)months b4 you get everything together, but asking questions that are stickied well thats not cool and mods will agree. You need a 1j with harness and all accessories or you will pay........ Little things like PS reservoir can be swapped with 2jzgte parts.

The best place to source oem parts is Carson Toyota b/c of our discount and Jhot is a good spot for clips although I got my 1j on supraforums (btw it will be in in Jan)

i already sourced out a jdm 1jz w/ trans, harness, ecu for 2500 from jdmenginedepot here in jersey. im assuming it comes w/ everything for the swap. i know i have to modthe driveshaft if i use the jdm trans so i will be using the stock trans for now. once again i know this has been discussed already but thanks a lot for the help guys. i work for a dealership and i can get discounts at toyota.

not a great idea to buy from them.... this is where i got my motor..... i drove 15 hour to pick it up ... and drove back 15.... and the people there didnt know what they were talking about.... and when i got my motor down almost everything there is old.... it took me 5 hours to pull my tranny off ... i dont know why.... (dont ask) and my pully where all messed up.... but thats just my 2 cents
