Default Drive belt tensioner pulley replacement/SC300

1992 SC300 Auto

So I got a new OEM drive belt and a new pulley for the tensioner from rock auto. I thought the squeal was from my power steering, but correctly diagnosed it as the tensioner pulley bearings. Replaced both of them but my question is this. The pulley I got from rock auto was a little bigger and the little cover that goes over the original doesn't fit. Luckily the bolt works fine without the cover just tightened up against the bearing. I spun it prior to putting the belt on and it was perfect. Engine runs great and squeal is gone...but is not using that cover going to be an issue down the road.
