ok i was wondering.. after your alternator dies... followed by the battery..

after getting fixed did anything else go down? reason why im asking is because.. after everything was finally fixed.. my gas needle stays on E.. even after a full take fill up..

You might check your owners manual to see if there is a seperate fuse for the gas gauge.

an alternator that puts out too much voltage can and will kill other circuits...

check the fuses, but if all are good, then there is a good chance thats the reason...

Sorry, accidentally hit the enter bar. I recently received a sales flyer from a company that rebuilds import ABS systems and gauge clusters, and they mentioned that the LS Lexus commonly had dead fuel gauges. Thepic. of the cluster looked just like ours.

The ls looks nothing like ours and is 120,000 volt cathode system, it's not even remotely close.

My gas gauge is dead, but it was that way when when I got the car and that was before I had any charging issues.

yup, thats a shock sensor for an aftermarket alarm... red wire - no clue- possibly an antenna for said alarm, but hard to say for sure... you don't have to get in the tank to check the sender - just get to it on the outside, unplug it, and check the resistance... you should notice it change resistance as you have different levels of gas in the tank....
